Tu Es Gentil neon sign

In June of 2014 I had an art show of paintings at Turn! Turn! Turn! here in Portland. While gathering all the artwork, I also managed to manifest one of my early neon GIF creations into a physical neon sign just in time for the show. What was once a silly idea I had in Geneva soon grew into a neon obsession, and as soon as I had the chance, I had to make it happen. Designed in modern, upright, mono-linear, script lettering, and fabricated by master neon bender Peter Thanh Cao (pictured below) at Artico Lite. The Tu Es Gentil sign also appeared at Portland's inaugural Winter Light Festival in February 2016, along the Willamette River at OMSI. Photos below. I also made this cute 1-minute video montage of the light festival.

"Tu es gentil" is a French phrase which translates to: you are kind (helpful), used to convey gratitude or sarcasm.
